I guess some people just don't like Shakespeare set in the Black Hills.The following excerpt is from a screed on Black Hills Today :

Legendary Deadwood News: HBO Deadwood Continues Tainted Portrayal of the Real Deadwood; Cover Your Ears as HBO Deadwood Scheduled for 3rd Season

Fearful that foul language, whores and nudity haven't been enough to keep a viewing audience, HBO is scrambling to keep HBO Deadwood alive. In hopes to draw from a different viewing population, David Milch's HOB Deadwood is now on target to introduce a gay agenda to the mix. Deadwood (HBO) will now premiere its third season in June and adds Brian Cox as Jack Langrishe, a gay and eccentric theater owner who tries to bring culture to the mean streets of Deadwood. Proudparenting.com boasts of the addition to the drama series as it includes LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered) portrayals. . . .  

And it gets worse from here in its hatred of HBO's "Deadwood." Usual B.S. about swearing, nudity, etc. Go figure. Pearls before swine (or Swearengen), I suppose.
