Jonny S at South Dakota Politics makes a "Deadwood-esque" analogy of some of us in SoDakBlogOLand: Prof. Schaff's take:
Many months ago I suggested that if I were casting Deadwood with South Dakota blogosphere characters, I'd cast Todd Epp as Al Swearengen and Ken Blanchard as Mr. Wu. After reading the post by Chad at CCK referred to by Ken Blanchard, I nominate Chad for Calamity Jane. Not because I see him playing a woman, but because that guy can curse like an old prospector. Whew! For a while there I thought my hard drive might melt.![]()
. . . How Schaff Sees Blanchard

How Epp Sees Epp. . . I'll take the Swearengen comparison as a compliment (as a former denizen of newsrooms, I can drop F-bombs with the best of them, but my effing skills in using the F-word are strictly bush league compared to Al's). I think I look more like Seth Bullock than Al. I nominate PP from S.D. War College as our blogoshphere's A.W. Merrick.![]()
How Epp Sees PP. . .

How Epp Sees Vilhauer. . . A late entry. If I were casting "Deadwood," I would definitely cast Corey Vilhauer of Black Marks on Wood Pulp fame as Johnny Burns.
Be careful what you wish for, Corey! <grin>
