Merry Early Christmas Mayor Munson

Merry early Christmas Mayor Dave Munson! Don't spend all those $1000 campaign contributions in one place!
From 5-7 p.m. today atop the Holiday Inn City Centre, Sioux Falls Mayor Dave Munson is holding a campaign fundraiser--ten days before Christmas.

As Argus columnist Dave Kranz pointed out today, revellers can give $1000 today and $1000 in the new year.

Let me ask you this: Can you write a check for a grand a week and a half before Christmas?  Do you know anyone who can?

Those who can are the types of folks who'll be wishing Dave an early Merry Christmas today.

Think about that as you're trying to scrape up enough money to get that XBox360 for you kids at Target for Christmas next week.

i could write a check for $1,000 each week pretty much indefinitely.

....but sometime between the first two checks, my bank would be wondering what the hell i was thinking....

For a guy who claimed to not understand what was wrong with his Phillips to the Falls expenditures, he certainly knows the fine print in campaign contributions.
