Trifecta Thursday

My new favorite blog site, SDBlogWatch, had a story entitled, "Epp's Big Day" and noted the radio ads my group purchased for today on KELO-AM and FM regarding Sen. John Thune's ties to Jeff Gannon and my exclusive interview with Jeff.

Mr./Mrs./Ms SDBlogWatch failed to note that KELO-TV featured Jon Lauck and myself on political blogging last night. I was out with some Democrat friends of mine last night so I missed the actual story when it aired, but here are some excerpts from the Jodi Schwan helmed report:

Jon Lauck's website on the state's senate race was used to disseminate information helpful to John Thune and the GOP.
Blogger Todd Epp says, "They really understood that and we're late to the game."
But since the election, Sioux Falls attorney Todd Epp has started several democratic blogs. One, called ThuneWatch monitors the new senator's actions in office. Another does the same for Governor Mike Rounds. And a third calls on state democrats to revitalize their party.
Epp says, "I'm trying to take pages from the Republican playbook and implement it for my own political ends."
Sen. John Thune says, "I think there's an increased awareness that this can have an impact."

So, just to set the record straight, SDBlogWatch, "Epp's Big Day" was also "Trifecta Thursday."
