As a frequent traveler THROUGH Iowa on I-29 to Topeka, Kansas City, and Wichita, I took heart from today's Des Moines Register that as of July 1, 2005, you and I will be able to drive 70 mph on rural Interstate highways in the land of corn, corn, corn, corn, corn, corn, tree, corn, corn, corn, corn, corn as comedian Heywood Banks sings.

Motorists will be able to drive faster on Iowa’s 
interstate highways beginning  
July 1. Gov. Tom Vilsack today said he'll sign
