S.D. Watch "Must Reads" for 7/27/05, Late Edition
Ok, I'm late. Soccer, lawyer stuff, helping a friend, talking to my wife all got in the way. It's called life. I actually have one.
Read on, fellow babies, but first one note: it is a weird day in SoDakBlogOLand when S.D. Politics is pretty freaking funny. I mean intentionally so.
- Smoke, Meet Mirror (Liberal Street Fighter)--Even the Iraqi Prime Minster says US troops need to leave pretty soon. Anyone at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue listening? Anyone? Anyone? Beuehler? Anyone?
- I'm Data (S.D. Politics)--My buddies at my favorite non-moderate South Dakota GOP blog have photographic proof of Sibby's* failure to adequately fight the green meanace of Godless algae (Al-qaeda) bloom at Lake Mitchell.
- Japanese Androids (SDP)--Short, funny, and and true?
- Thune #8 on "50 Most Beautiful People on Capitol H... (Rant-A-Bit)--I'm going to steal all of Scotty's thunder: "Thune #8 on "50 Most Beautiful People on Capitol Hill" Only number eight?"
- The DCeiver - Highlights from Hill Hotties 2005 (The DCeiver)--More on our junior beautiful Senator, with funny analysis of all the winners.
- Mount Blogmore: A Rapid City Journal politic... - Thune 9th most beautiful (Mt. Blogmore/RCJ)--The humor just keeps rolling in at Sen. Thune's expense. I, however, have the utmost respect for John's hair. And his ability to box out and drive the lane. And his sharp elbows. Ow!
- Roe v Wade, Judge Roberts, and Bush Poll Numbers (Clean Cut Kid)--CCK points out an interesting truth: voters like Roe v. Wade but not President Bush.
- This is why the DDDDD is quiet (He whose name cannot be written here**)--That one guy who lives in Mitchell just keeps adding "Ds" all the time. Does he have a desk drawer full of extra "Ds" he doesn't need? Hmmm.
- The rise of Attorney Generals (HWNCBWH**)--An interesting cut and paste about the growing powers of Attorneys General. To which I say, "great!"
- The Bush-Thune Ear-O-Matic (Blind Orange Julius)--God, I just love the name. When I checked, the link wasn't working. But who cares. I love the name. Also, BOJ must have loaned SDP some of his mojo.
- The Awakening (The Washington Post)--On a far, far, far more serious note, this is an unbelievably well written story about a woman who awoke from a 17 year coma in Hutchinson, Kansas. The writing is beautiful, the story compelling. You'll be in tears at the end of it. Best thing I've read ANYWHERE in a long time. Today's "Must Read."
Have a pleasant evening.
*Todd, say the prayer, say the prayer!
**Thank you, oh Lord!

(he must not have a wife looking over his shoulder. Mine would not find it anywhere near as amusing)
Even your endorsement isn't enough to get me to go to his cut-and-paste train wreck of a site.
I am negotiating a deal to appear regularly on another site in the blogosphere. Watch for the blockbuster announcement soon.
Mojo? To quote Muddy Waters (and myself a few minutes ago at Dunn Bros. Coffee in RC), "I got my mojo workin' but it just don't work on you....."
PS Anyone know a place in SF that two trouble making graphics guys could possibly play a little music, open mic style? What is with your music scene out there?
Shouldn't you be on Black Helicopter Watch? I'll be in Mitchell this week. Want me to stop by the trailer park to say hi? Maybe we could go to a Cage Match or something.
