Gas prices got you down? Be glad you're not in Sturgis

Think $2.40 a gallon for gas sucks? Well, it does, but the folks in Sturgis this week are being welcomed by local stations who are charging $2.89 a gallon. Nice way to welcome people to the state and thank them for pumping millions of dollars into the state's economy.

Looking for the lowest prices? Here's a web site that SDBWM finds helpful.

I'm in St. Paul, MN. I paid $2.69 in Chamberlain and $2.43 in Sioux Falls. It's in the $2.50-55 range here.

This fuel price really sucks. Thanks Bushies. I'm glad my hard-earned cash can pad your wallet!

In fairness, gas prices in the Hills are usually 20 cents per gallon higher than in Sioux Falls. Even if this is price gouging, if you can spend $20,000 on a bike and trailer it to the Hills, you can afford the extra $2.90 (10 gallons at 29 cents a gallon too high) or $5.80 (for 20 gallons), or just drive over to Wyoming.
Everything in Sturgis is overpriced during the rally. That's how people make a living there.

$2.60 today in St. Paul.
I used to own a little Ford Festiva. 50 mpg and fun to drive. I think I'll start looking for another one. The Honda I drive now gets 30, but I want more because I drive about 300 miles per week for work in my own vehicle.
