Watertown PO: Elshere Replaces Foley as States Attorney

The Watertown Public Opinion (free subscription requried) reports today Dawn Elshere replaces Vince Foley as Codington County States Attorney.  Foley was elected as a Third Circuit Court Judge in last Tuesday's election.

During their regular weekly meeting, the commissioners emerged from an executive session with State's Attorney Vince Foley and announced they had offered the job to Foley's deputy, Dawn Elshere.

Elshere, who has been deputy state's attorney for four years, accepted the offer. . .

Elshere will complete the final two years of Foley's term as state's attorney. . . .

Congratulations Dawn!  Oh, and belated congratulations to you too, Judge-elect Foley!
