Planned Parenthood Potlucks--Great Grassroots Organizing or Something That Makes You Go 'Hmmm"

I am staunchly pro-choice and hope that the abortion ban goes down to defeat this fall in South Dakota.  I received the following email recently from Planned Parenthood, a group I support.  However, I'm not sure if I think this is great grassroots organizing or something that makes me a little squeamish.  I am truly conflicted.  Any thoughts, particularly from pro-choicers?

Hopefully the law stays in effect but with

I guess I don't get why people are weirded out by it. Until the recent blog uproar, I never even thought of it as being the least bit controversial.

I think they could have used a different logo, but I guess what is done is done. I hope to heavens the anti-abortion bill is voted out. The state can't afford to pay millions in legal fees.

I don't know. I thought it was a good idea because my church uses putlucks to raise money all the time.

That can be avoided if Planned Parenthood would respect the will of the voters. But they are the ones that are concerned about 'millions in abortion fees'.
