The South Dakota Supreme Court has ruled the state Senate cancontinue with its investigation of Senator Dan Sutton of Flandreau.

Sutton is accused of groping an 18-year-old male legislative page last year. No criminal charges have been filed.

The Senate has tried to start a disciplinary hearing, but Sutton’slawyers took it to a judge in Flandreau. Attorney General Larry Long, representing the Senate, then asked the state Supreme Court tointervene and decide whether the judge has jurisdiction over alegislative matter.
