SDW @ KELOLAND.com: My Socialist Comrades at Commie Martyr High, er Roosevelt HS

Here is my latest entry on KELOLAND.com—Students of RHS Unite! You’ve Nothing To Lose But Your Bookbags!

An excerpt:

So my Comrades at Commie Martyr High, er, Sioux Falls Roosevelt High School, have started a Socialist Club.

I wish I had started something like this Back in the Day at Yankton High.

It would have freaked everyone out like it has apparently freaked out my buddies here at KELOLAND and educators in Sioux Falls.

As yesterday’s (October 2, 2007) story notes, “Not everyone is comfortable with the Young Socialist Club’s views… “

God, I love the use of the passive voice so there is no subject saying who is doing what to whom!

But I digress.

Ok, like who is “uncomfortable” with future premiers of Finland and Sweden or MPs in Canada or England?

Or is this more likely code for that some producer at KELOLAND-TV was “uncomfortable” about budding young socialists right here in KELOLAND?  That sounds more like the case to this old newshound.

And who are these new Engels and Marxs in our midsts who give up cruising The Loop, football practice, and heavy petting to engage instead in discussions on dialylectical materialism? …

I think that educating people about the many forms of socalisim is a good way to broaden minds. Many of americans minds are set only one way, the way america wants it to be, people dont know that there are many other belief systems that work. Also its not a comunist socialist group and it dosent advise people to be a comunist socialist, the group is more of a democratic socialist group, but all beliefs are accpted. The kids runing the group are very good kids, with good grades, and a low crime status. I dont see why anyone would have any right to critisize this group.
