A Little SD Open Government Irony

I thought this story from KELOLAND-TV today was actual pretty funny.  The State of South Dakota is suing to obtain information that someone else won’t release.

A blurb:

State lawyers say a judge made a mistake by having closed meetings with defense attorneys and allowing secret defense testing of evidence from a shooting spree by motorcycle gang members in Custer State Park in 2006.

Yes, I know it is in court rather than governmental records and the rules are different.  But the thought of lawyers from the State of South Dakota working to make meetings open was just too ironic to pass up without comment.
