So Yankton, We Meet Again!

yankton%20map.jpgI just returned from my sixth trip to Yankton this summer.

I’ve been to my old hometown for soccer, a reunion, family, and court appearances.  I’ve seen Dick Anderson, my former high school English teacher and the best instructor I ever had at any level, five of those six times, three times this month alone.  He’ll probably hide if he sees me coming in the door of The Pantry again.

I also stopped in saw former State Senator and gubernatorial candidate Bernie Hunhoff at South Dakota Magazine.  Bernie’s taken his red pen to some of my articles and sent me a few checks in the past for writing them.

I’m sure Sibby will see something diabolical in that.  Bernie is a Democrat and owns part of the MSM.

Anyway, I’m now waiting for a key to city from the Chamber of Commerce.

Mr. Epp - Are you planning to come back for Riverboat Days? Former Speaker of the House Matt Michels and his wife Karen are the Riverboat Days Captain & Belle. I'd like to meet you sometime.

You know, I'd love to see Matt in a captain's hat. I bet he looks like the Skipper from Gilligan's Island (grin)
