Breaking: It's Alive! Welcome to South Dakota Watch on KELOLAND.com!
The big “Gorilla” blogging project that Pat Powers and I have hinted at is now in soft launch at KELOLAND.com.
Here’s the link to my blog: http://www.keloland.com/custompages/kelolandblogs/sdwatch/
I know who the other bloggers are but I’m not going to steal their thunder and I’ll let them unveil themselves as they see fit. (But sorry, Sibby. Like I said yesterday… )
Eventually, the various blogs will be integrated into the KELO-TV site and cross referenced to areas like “politics,” etc.
We are supposed to blog once a day only there unless something extraordinary happens. I will be posting a unique post daily on the KELOLAND site then link back to it here.
While comments on stories are somewhat regular now on some SDMSM news sites, KELOLAND is the first SDMSM to offer bloggers/citizen journalists a prominent position on their websites and as part of the “news” process.
We are not paid by KELOLAND to do this and we retain our own independence to publish what we want as long as it is not defamatory.
To KELOLAND, my heartfelt thanks for the invitation to be part of this initiative and the opportunity it presents me and other bloggers in South Dakota. It also gives me sort of a Mark Ovenden trifecta—I’ve now worked at or had some role at all three news stations in Sioux Falls—KSFY, KDLT, and now, KELO.

Be gentle and don't harass the Bush administration. Keloland is mighty prissy about what one can say about Republicans such as the White House Window Peepers that were so very interested in Clinton's penis and now Hillary's cleavage.
Of course, commenters will be allowed to call Democrats any names they please.
Congratulations to you and PP and good luck.
