Upon Further Review, Perhaps Thune Was a Better Pick Than Palin

A conservative commentator wonders if selecting our own Sen. John Thune might have been a better pick for Vice President than the barracuda/pit bull/hockey mom/Alaska law breaker Gov. Sarah Palin.

From Russ Smith at Splice Today:

I’m not especially taken by Palin—given her shrillness and cloying “I’m one of you” shtick, it seems McCain would’ve been better served by choosing a running mate like South Dakota’s Sen. John Thune—but the media’s drumbeat hostility showered upon her is plainly over-the-top.
At least Thune doesn’t wink when he addresses the camera.

Todd, Thune he doesnt know anything about the economy .voted for 150, billion plus pork. Also Dusty could have done a better job than Thune .Ithink Dusty could have carried North Dakota as it is slipping to CRUSH.

McPain should have picked Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC). He seems to be in the middle of a lot that happens in DC, and he even sounds reasonable from time to time. Somebody willing to work across the isle anyway. His accent is better than Palin's - or is it what he says that just makes more sense? Maybe both.

Barack Obama's not talkin' straight to the American people about who he really is. You put a thing in his name you get O'Bama. He needs to level with folks whether he's Irish - Black Irish!
