2/27/08 Must Reads: Steve Kirby "Working Feverishly," Beware RC Aldermen with the Internet, "Lost" Toys, and Barry's Big Head

I don't know about your office but this cold/flu thing has been devastating.

We are missing most of our staff for a second day.  I've heard about other law offices similarly hit.  When I was at the doctor Monday, my doctor said his clinic has seen lots of elderly people with Influenza A.  My son got strep throat.  My wife's also been sick.

Spring can't come quickly enough.

Here are your Must Reads:

Kirby Watch: Still "working feverishly?"
27/02/08 06:37 from Badlands Blue - Front Page
Last Thursday, the AP reported that Steve Kirby was "working feverishlyon trying to come up with a decision in the next seven days" on whetheror not to challenge Sen. Tim Johnson this year. Well, we're now on day#7 of the Kirby Watch.....
  • Steve Kirby.  Working harder.  Making a difference.  No, wait.  That was Tim Johnson's slogan in 2002.
Rapid City Council follies continue… Rapid City Alderman admits posting false information?
26/02/08 22:58 from South Dakota War College
I can't tell you how much I love Rapid City Government. When it comesto fodder for blogposts, it is an eternally fresh and bountiful fountof goofiness which it seems will never, ever dry up. Last year, we hadCabela's, Tom Johnson's gender...
  • A modest proposal: If you are elected to city government in Rapid City, you must relinquish your online access.  Wow, do these people know how to do dumb things via the Internet!?

26/02/08 08:45 from Watching Lost
I'm not exactly mad about Lost action figures or anyu TV character toysfor that matter, but I'm sure there are a lot of you who would enjoythese: It's a 60mm figure of the following characters: LOCKE JACK KATESAWYER SAYID CHARLIE HURLEY...
  • I want the Dharma Initiative Pearl Station Play Set!
Jon Heyman: Why is Bonds still out of work?
27/02/08 00:35 from SI.com
Barry Bonds wants to play, but he and his agent are waiting for a call...
  • My theory?  There's isn't a batting helmet big enough to fit his huge, steroid inflated noggin.
Photo: The "Lost" Kubrick toy set.  I've got dibs on Kate!
