What's wrong with a postcard from 3 candidates saying "We're your team"? Candidates that like each other often work together. Voters may be a little confused about a primary mailing talking about the June 3rd election, and when they get there Kathy Miles isn't on the ballot. But if voters remember that Kathy Miles likes these 2 guys - that's the purpose of the mailing.

If Madigan switched from Republican to Democrat just to get elected in a Democratic district but still identifies with Republican issues more than with Democratic issues, that's something Vanderlinde may be able to get some mileage out of. But I haven't seen enough real facts (as opposed to conjecture) to know if that is the case.
