PBS to Broadcast Conventions in Full. Yawn.
While the other networks have abandoned gavel to gavel coverage of the Republican and Democratic National Conventions, PBS plans to be there through the bloody end, according to The Hollywood Reporter.PBS to party with pols every night
The broadcast networks aren't saying how much coverage they plan for the party nominating conventions, but PBS plans to take the full course in primetime.
The problem with the conventions is that they are like watching a football game where you already know who won and how they scored.
I mean seriously. The primaries and caucuses were where the action was. It's a wonder the broadcast networks carried the conventions as long as they did before just doing primetime or highlights coverage.
I suppose PBS is to be commended for spending our tax dollars and contributions on something that is probably also available on C-SPAN--and is so utterly boring and anti-climactic.
