Still Miffed at Barack

I'm still quite miffed at Barack for all his 180 degree changes recently, particularly on the FISA bill. Actually, I'm in a snit. I might work out of it. But I'm an unhappy Obamamaniac right now.

I'm not the only one. I've talked to other BHO supporters who are no longer "fired up, ready to go" as they were because of Barack's pandering to the Right. We'll vote for him but he has to get back on the "change" and "hope" track if he wants us to get off our butts and our wallets.

Barack, I'm just sayin'.

Two or three nights ago, I got a fund raising phone call thanking me for my past support and a request for money this go around for Sen. Obama. I shared that my money now needs to go to the ACLU to fight that horrid bill that he, Sen. Johnson, and Sen. Thune voted for. I'm sorry, but I have little respect for Johnson and Thune's crowing over victory over the 2nd amendment vote re: guns, but than choosing to gut the 4th Amendment.

I'll cross my arms and cast a bitter eye towards Pelosi and House Rep. Herseth-Sandlin as well, as they voted for and sent that FISA "compromise" to the Senate to begin with. At least Sen. Obama did vote for all of the amendments presented (Feingold/Dodd, etc.) Truthfully, we've got the most criminal administration -- far worse than Nixon -- and our Congress fails holding these thugs accountable. If they enable and allow these traitors to run free, we need a different cast in office. They aren't doing what they swore in oath to do,

Self destructive and self righteous attitudes like these were why Gore and Kerry lost. The party isn't a disfunctional family; it's just disfunctional. Just like the rightwing nuts; leftwing nuts want it their way or not at all. I was wrong. SD Watch probably is an absolutist leftwing nut. Better get used to more of it. The first thing Obama must do, and do every day, when he's president is to run for re-election. That is not done by pandering to the leftwing nuts.

What in the FISA bill upsets you? The re-introduction of judicial oversight? The civil immunity for telecoms? The reservation of criminal immunity for telecoms? I don't like the immunity, either - but the bill wasn't outrageous or terrible or unconstitutional.

On the other hand I have no interest in supporting Johnson or Herseth-Sandlin for their nearly universal support of everything Bush for the past seven years. They own Iraq and the emerging depression as much as Bush. It's not clear they understand the constitution. What ever happened to "do no harm" or "loyal opposition"?

I'm with you on this. Obama still gets my vote but I feel like I'm in a relationship when you know it's probably gonna end. "I still love you, I'm just not IN love with you." The honeymoon of "hope" and "change" is over; now he's just the boyfriend who farts in bed.
