Breaking: Rep. Herseth Sandlin Announces She's Having a Baby!
Wonderful news from Rep. Stephanie Herseth Sandlin: she's going to be a babymama!
I'll leave the political speculating to another day. But I hope all South Dakotans will join me in wishing her and Max Sandlin all the best, a trouble free pregnancy, and a healthy baby!

Dear Friends,
We are overjoyed to share with you some wonderful news: Max and I are expecting a baby!
With a late-December due date, we are looking forward to a particularly blessed holiday season this year. Max and I could not be more excited about the new addition on the way, and we are grateful for your continued love and support as we celebrate this news. I look forward to seeing you in person soon.
All our best,

Putting aside the racial overtones, "Baby Mama" is a term that refers to a woman unmarried to the father of her child. While I know Pat Powers loves to obsesse endlessly about her personal life, I'm not sure why you'd include this term on what should be a very happy day for Max and Stephanie. Why is it that you always have to put in some sort of small slight - either consciously or unconsciously - every time you write about Democrats? The rest of your post is quite gracious, but that term is offensive. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baby_mama)
I'd expect using racially charged slang that infers infidelity from Sibby... but am a little shocked to see it coming from you.
Little Lars Herseth Sandlin will be eligible to run for Congress in 2034...

Babymama is a term I hear used all the time for celebrity mothers to be, no matter their race or marital status. No slight is intended and it is meant as a term of endearment to Stephanie. Watch Entertainment Tonight and hear the term used for all sorts of celebrities who are expecting.
One of my colleagues at work is also pregnant and married and I call her that all the time and she takes no offense. I say that to her as a term of endearment and as my way of taking joy in her pregnancy. Same with Stephanie.
I also take issue that I "always" have some slight about the Democrats I write about. I know many of them. Most I like. I admit I'm not a Hillary Clinton fan. And I do call them as I see them. But NF, that's an odd criticism aout a blog that is blatantly--and proudly--pro-Democratic candidates, office holders, and issues.

All this babymama stuff has nothing to do with the congresswoman, It has everything to do with Skippy trying to be "hip".
Sad...
If your so called man crush wants my vote, He will have to add a plank to his platform supporting a law that middle aged white guys are barred from trying to talk gansta....
