Sorry Sibby (And Bob), No Election for You!

I hate to be the Election Nazi about this, but if Steve Sibson (and Bob Ellis) think Sibby can get on the ballot as a Democratic (or other party) candidate for state legislature, I think that bus has left the depot.

From the SD Secretary of State’s 2008 Election Calendar:
June 3
Last day for independent candidates to file nominating petitions with the Secretary of State or county auditor for all offices except president. (SDCL 12-7-1)

August 12
Last day for party central committees to fill vacancies created by candidates who withdrew their nominations - ARSD 5:02:07:06. (SDCL 12-8-6)
Those dates have passed.

I don’t think I’m wrong about this (if I am, let me know), but Sibby, no election for you! Two years, no candidacy!

Todd-

You forget that Steve is the same village idiot that thinks IM10 is constitutional.

Aw shucks! I too had heard the date was passed, but didn't know if there was circumstance that was an exception.

It would be interesting to watch Steve run as a Democrat...if he didn't get stoned by his "own party" first.

Bob:

What party is that? I thought Sibby left the GOP.

Sibby is in his own little world. He's not going to run, not now, not then, not ever. He'd never garner even 28% of the vote, and THAT is something that would cause his own small intestine to reach up through his neck and throttle his brain.
