Even though the
DNCC decided to credential paid political operatives from South Dakota instead of grassroots citizens to cover the Denver Democratic National Convention, South Dakota Watch will be live and direct from the event.
South Dakota Watch will have two correspondents in Denver.
- Joe Prostrollo, late of mysiouxfalls.com, has been credentialed through http://www.examiner.com. Joe will provide updates and live blogging of convention events and news from a South Dakota perspective. The live blog platform he'll be using is at the top of the page. It will also allow you to add your own comments to Joe's coverage.
- Barry Foster, government teacher at Sioux Fall Lincoln and an Obama delegate alternate (and one of my very best friends), will provide photos, news, and a personal view from an insider's perspective. Barry will also do a private wiki site on the convention for his government classes at Lincoln.
South Dakota Watch is very fortunate to have both of these gentlemen providing such indepth and unique perspectives to what could be an historic gathering.
So, please bookmark The Watch as an important part of your Democratic Convention coverage. And if you see Barry or Joe in Denver, at least buy them a beer as a token of thanks.
