Be Careful What You Pray For--God Has a Funny Sense of Humor

Chalk this up in the category (3?) of major irony.

Remember a few weeks ago when some Rightwingers were praying for rain Thursday to ruin Sen. Barack's Obama's acceptance speech outdoors at Mile High Stadium in Denver?

I wonder how they will explain a possible Category 3 hurricane striking the Gulf Coast next week in the midst of the Republican National Convention in St. Paul?

That would totally screw the Republicans out of valuable network and cable airtime to present Sen. John McCain and his case for President. News organizations would have to cover the lead up to the hurricane, the hurricane, and its aftermath. With the number of lives and billions of dollars in property at stake, no self-respecting news organization could not make that the most important story next week.

Obviously, no one wants a hurricane to hit, particularly New Orleans and same area that was pummel three years ago by Hurricanes Rita and Katrina.

At least no responsible, compassionate, decent person would want that to happen.

If there is a god, He/She/It is all about irony.
