SD Watch Now Kindle-ized for Your Reading Pleasure!

I’m not sure what a Kindle is but you can now get SD Watch on it if you subscribe to Newstex.  Newstex syndicates this blog.  Here’s a blurb from Newstex about Kindle:

Amazon - Kindle: Amazon’s New Wireless Reading Device <http://tinyurl.com/5gtog6> - Newstex is pleased to announce that Amazon has chosen Newstex’s Blogs On Demand for distribution of Newstex blogs for purchase on the Kindle.  We will be rolling this out over the next few months.

How do Blogs work on the Kindle? Unlike reading blogs on your PC, Kindle blogs are downloaded onto Kindle so you can read them even when you’re not wirelessly connected. And unlike RSS readers which often only provide headlines, blogs on Kindle give you full text content and images.

So, a Kindle is a sort of text reader for e-books and the like.  If you’ve had experience with a Kindle, please share in the comments.

I have no experience with either the Kindle or the Sony comparable device. The digital ink systems used are very interesting. I hope that the technology can be cheapened sufficiently that full-size newspaper pages can be displayed on a flexible sheet of plastic film and spread on a table much like a paper or magazine.

The prices of these devices and the cost of the media provided still seems too high. It appears that providers of digital information for a fee are still trying to get the same subscription prices for that as for paper versions even if distribution costs are much less.

I hope somebody with an actual Kindle will pick up your blog and let us know how it all actually works.
