Northeast organizer Amanda (Mattingly) Mack was laidoff yesterday. The party just can't pay her anymore.

Like Matt McLarty's leaving, this is another terrible blow. Amanda is a young, bright, aggressive, and successful organizer. She is a future star of our party. So now what?
Coupled with the postponement of McGovern Day next week and these departures, I am deeply troubled about the future of the state party.
Does anyone have any thoughts or solutions?
I'm going to be pondering this over the weekend and offer some thoughts and ideas in a day or two. In the meantime, talk amongst yourselves in the comments.

We all will patiently await wise guidance from SD Watch....
So Curtis, what bright ideas do you have? I'm patiently waiting.
This kind of disheartens me because we need a strong counter party to the Republicans. I am not a Democrat, but, an Independent Voter who has recently supported Democrats because I like to see the shake-up of politics continue and really really really want to see Stephanie run in the Governor's race. The Democrats got to jump in now and be more aggresive in politics at the state-level. If she runs for Governor, it would be the first truly competative Gubernatorial Race since 1974 when the last Democrat, Dick Kneip won. Stephanie has a calling and that is to follow in her Grandfather, Ralph's footsteps...
I recently came accross your blog and have been reading along. I thought I would leave my first comment.
