Today's Advice from "The Coop"

A new "letter" just came in over the transom needing advice from "The S.D. Watch Chicken Coop."

Dear Mr. The Coop:

I have a new, important job in Washington, DC, the nation's capital.  I told a very, very , VERY important person I had their ear.  Unfortunately, however, I lost this important person's ear that I had for safe keeping.  Now, people back in the home office are either mad at me or making fun of me for losing the ear.  I needed the ear for a very important project I was working on.  I'm at a loss.  What should I do?

Best regards,

Earless in D.C.

Dear Earless:

We all make mistakes and over promise things.  The best thing to do is to tell the truth to that very important person and the folks back in the home office.  Tell them you made a terrible mistake, tell them you'll work hard to correct your mistake, and ask them to forgive you.  No one is perfect.  Most people appreciate candor and honesty.  You might be surprised that people might even completely forget about the loss of the all important ear but say you are a person of great integrity.

Good luck, and I hope you find that ear!

Best regards,

"The Coop"
